Hardship Immigration Evaluations (I-601 Waiver)
When an individual faces deportation, this can significantly affect both them and their family. A psychological evaluation can help explain this hardship to individuals who may decide your immigration case. Dr. McConnell conducts in-depth immigration hardship assessments using both a clinical interview and objective psychological tests.
Medical Certification for Disability Exceptions (Form N-648) Evaluations
There may be instances in which individuals may qualify for an exemption from the English language and US Civics requirements for US naturalization if there is the presence of “physical or developmental disability or mental impairment.” These disability or impairments can be a result of conditions such as dementia, head injury, or intellectual disability. Dr. McConnell can assess a person’s attention, concentration, ability to learn new information, and memory which are crucial skills that are needed to satisfy immigration requirements.
Other Immigration Evaluations
Sometimes, immigration officials will ask for a psychological evaluation that does not fall into a hardship evaluation or medical waiver exception evaluation. In those cases, we will work closely with your attorney to determine the issues that need to be addressed in your evaluation and report.
